Canada’s Digital Collections

I just discovered a very cool Canadian Government Site.

Canada’s Digital Collections

It compromises:

More than 600 collections… celebrating Canada’s history, geography, science, technology and culture.

The subjects covered range from science and discovery to literature, history and heritage. Many of the collections include learning materials and interactive games.

All digital collections were created by Canadian youth, as part of the Government of Canada’s Youth Employment Strategy. From 1996 to 2003, Canada’s Digital Collections employed thousands of young people to create digital collections.

There are a ton of interesting links:

Overhead Maps of Alberta , First Nations Vets in Saskatchewan, and the Immigrant Voices sites are some examples.

Check it out!
