The Counter-Terrorism Blog is reporting that France and Canada have agreed to share intelligence on the financial dealings of terrorist organizations.
Canada reports that it has entered into similar agreements with some 19 countries. This is a very positive step and hopefully can serve as an example to other countries. Prior to the Madrid bombings, most countries were quite reticent to share intelligence information.
This can only be seen as a good thing, though hopefully it doesn’t lead to more cases like those of Maher Arrar.
