Almost exactly one year ago, I blogged about a revolt by Ukrainian media.
Yesterday, Declan tagged me at Crawl Across the Ocean with the task of finding the 5th sentence in my 23rd post.. and writing about it.
Well here’s the sentence, and it’s an interesting one at least (thank god).
“I’ve never heard of anything like this, and I bet it’s totally mind boggling to the viewers in Ukraine, as well as totally liberating for the reporters on those TV stations.”
We all know what eventually happened in the Ukraine. The peaceful revolution there was an inspiration to millions of people, from Lebanon to Kyrgystan.
I wonder what those reporters who rebelled against the state-run script think of their actions now. They were truly part of history.
